Welcome to the World Stella!
BIG NEWS! Our fearless leader Andrea Kenner and her husband Mamadou are happy to announce the birth of Stella Elizabeth Maguy Diouf born on December 1st 2016, an eager twenty days early.
She clearly couldn't wait to see the world and meet her family! While in the womb, she was lovingly known as Baby-Dou thanks to her dad’s nickname "Dou" and hush hush gender (they kept it a surprise!) Andrea had a hunch it was a girl throughout her pregnancy and called her princess-dou. Stella made her entrance even more dazzling with a full head of silky dark chocolate hair. The doctors and nurses were super impressed!
Now almost 2 months old, Stella is living up to her namesake. She is their "little star" (stella translates to star in French)! Matisse was a little unsure of their new "lil-big boss" at first, but she's growing on him. He loves to cuddle her hospital blanket and lick her hands. They're gonna be best buds! We are all so happy for Andrea and Mamadou's beautiful new addition to the Tamarind family!

But let’s turn back the clock a minute to when Stella was just a little bean in Andrea’s belly. Pregnancy and postpartum style can be tricky. It’s got to be comfortable, practical, and showcase that basketball baby bump. Whether form fitting frocks or chic modern mumus are your jam, Tamarind has tons of styles to last you from week 3 morning sickness to 2 weeks post partum nesting and resting. The key to pregnancy pieces that stay in you closet post birth, is skirts and dresses ladies. Kick your denim to the way side wants that belly pops out to say hello! For the pantaloon privy, tie some forgiving slacks below the belly. For a classic cut with generous wiggle room, try a shirtdress layered and open or buttoned and closed. And remember, comfortable footwear is key to pregnancy sanity! Andrea went the snug route and rocked all Tamarind all the time. She favored high waisted skirts with stretch and belly accentuating dresses. Check out Andrea's preggo style for some chic expecting sartorial inspiration!

Congrats Andrea and Mamadou!
